Switching letting agents may seem daunting, but for landlords dissatisfied with their current service, the process is straightforward and swift, requiring just one action from the landlord. Once this step is taken, Lettingsons will take charge of the entire transition.

NOTICE

Upon giving notice, Lettingsons steps in, facilitating direct communication with tenants and the current agent to ensure a seamless handover.

When you make the switch to Lettingsons, we follow a proven process to guarantee a smooth transition for both landlords and tenants. In the past year, over 20% of the properties under our management have come from other local letting agents. Here are the key steps we take when assuming management of a property.

CONTACT

We promptly contact the current letting agent upon receiving confirmation from the landlord, notifying them of our takeover on the agreed-upon date. Before the changeover, we request essential documents such as safety certificates, tenant details, inventory, and any specific property information. On the changeover date, we visit the previous agent’s office to collect all sets of keys and original tenancy documents.

COMMUNICATION

Early communication with the tenant is established to introduce ourselves and notify them of our assumption of property management. Keeping tenants informed and providing contact details for any concerns is crucial. We also collaborate with the tenant to determine a convenient date and time for a post-transition meeting.

CHANGEOVER

After the changeover, we conduct an initial inspection of the property and meet with the tenant. This inspection allows tenants to address any concerns or maintenance issues previously overlooked. A comprehensive update, including photographs of each room, outstanding maintenance details, and suggestions for future improvements, is then provided to the landlord.
